Bakery Returns - Winter Schedule
The fires are being lit, and we are so looking forward to the cozy season!! The bakery is reopening this week with our winter schedule. It’ll look familiar— it’s the same as last year!

Some details:
Bread and pastry are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1) the bakery, 2) out at our wholesale locations, and 3) at many local locations via FarmDrop! If you are planning to pickup bread here at the bakery, and don’t want to risk standing in line, you can PRE-ORDER ONLINE! Note, we take preorders a couple days in advance, so you do have to plan it! Otherwise, just come on over to the bakery while we’re open and buy it off the shelf! Hot tip: we don’t typically have much of a line on Wednesdays.
We have brunch going on both Wednesdays and Saturdays, but the menu is more complex, and made-to-order on Saturdays. Check out our weekly menus on here.
Pizza this time of year is a lot easier to access than in the summer. Phew, and hooray! We love the cozy winter season in the barn, with appetizers making it back on the menus. We’re working to build some more seating in the barn, and hopefully will be able to take more walk-ins this winter than in the past.
Pizza reservations open on Mondays at 9AM each week, for that week, and close at 2:30PM of the day of reservation, or when full. We do not offer reservations further in advance. If you would like to check for availability after 2:30PM on a pizza night, please give us a call! And if you want take out, call us! Call earlier in the week to reserve your preferred takeout slot, or call us night of, and we can probably get you a pie pretty quick!

Tinder Hearth is thrilled to announce the upcoming performance of the Debashish Bhattacharya Legacy Trio: Debashish Bhattacharya (Chaturangui, Pushpa Veena), Anandi Bhattacharya (Vocals, Swarmandal), and Subashis Bhattacharya (Tabla).
Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya is arguably the greatest slide guitarist in the world—he is an undisputed master of the demanding technique and discipline of both Hindustani classical music and modern world fusion. This fall Debashish is touring the US with his Legacy Trio, performing a unique tribute to the pioneering Indian recording artists of the early 1900s.
In the 1900s, the early music recording technology of small shellac discs captured renditions of Hindustani classical ragas and popular songs, creating a sensation among the wider populace. This era saw the rise of the first celebrity musicians. The Trio will recreate the spirit and character of these early recordings, performing on Saturday, November 2nd at the Tinder Hearth Barn.
A major highlight of the performance will be the ornate stringed instruments of Debashish’s own design. These include the Chaturangui (Chat = 4, ang = color,“gui” from guitar), a 26-string slide guitar; Pushpa Veena (Pushpa = “flower” Veena = “stringed instrument”), a 25-string hybrid of the sarod and slide guitar; and the delicate Anandi, a 4-string slide ukulele.
The Trio includes Debashish’s daughter Anandi, a gifted vocalist and a rising star in her own right, and Debashish’s younger brother Subhasis, who is recognized as one of the greatest Indian classical percussionists of his generation.
Doors open at 5PM with food and drinks available for purchase outside.
Music starts at 7:00 PM.

Menus week of October 7th
Menus! We’re winding down this week, getting ready for our two week break starting on October 13th. Bake & cafe days remain the same — Wednesday and Saturday. Pizza is THURSDAY ONLY this week — we’re hosting an event on Friday and taking the rest of the pizza week off in order to take care of ourselves 🫶🏻

Late September & October Schedule Update
Hello all-
Wow! We’re just landing home from a rowdy experience over in Unity making pizza at MOFGA’s Common Ground Fair! Many thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the scene and find pizza at TH West! We loved it! <3
UPDATE: The bakery and pizza shop is in the liminal time between our full summer schedule and the off-season quieter months. We have landed on making pizza three nights a week for this period, Wednesday through Friday. Seating will be in the gardens and in the barn, often with the doors open. So please wear your woolies, and expect a beautiful, elemental experience!
So our current schedule is:
BAKERY CAFÉ: WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY - 9AM-NOON
PIZZA DINING & TAKE-OUT: WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY - 4:30-8PM
CLOSURE DETAILS: (1) The pizza shop will be closed for reservations on Fridays Oct 4th and Oct 11th due to private parties. (2) Tinder Hearth as a whole will be closed from October 13th to October 26th for fall maintenance projects. We will reopen that last week of October with our winter schedule, TBA!
One note for your calendars— we are hosting Grammy-nominated Hindustani slide guitarist Debashish Battacharya here in the barn on Nov 2nd, with his Legacy trio. “Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya is arguably the greatest slide guitarist in the world. He is an undisputed master of the demanding technique and discipline of both Hindustani classical music and modern world fusion.” Tickets will be released soon!

Fall Schedule Update
Hello everyone—
It’s a little hard to believe, but today is… September?! How did this happen? The summer has been an incredible, joyous scramble. Many, many thanks to all of you for coming out to West Brooksville, and making this season so very sweet. We are just so incredibly fortunate to be in this community.
We’re turning our minds towards fall, and have some updates for you all. Starting this week our schedule will be changing a little bit. More details are below::
BAKERY & CAFE - Wednesday and Saturday, 9AM-Noon
PIZZA - Tuesday through Friday, 4:30-8PM
The bakery and cafe is switching to our off-season schedule starting this week, and we will be baking just twice a week. The boule schedule will be the same as last winter: Oatmeal Porridge on Wednesday, Whole Wheat on Saturday.
The bakery and cafe will be closed on Saturday September 21st, for reasons explained below.
Pizza nights will continue four nights a week through the month. The exception to this is Sept 17-20th— we will be CLOSED for pizza that WHOLE WEEK, because we are taking an oven on the road and will be making pizza at COMMON GROUND FAIR in Unity. Come find us at the Fair!!

We hope to keep this schedule through ‘til Indigenous Peoples’ Day, but depending on a number of factors we might have to drop a night or two of pizza by the time we hit October. We’ll try to keep you future-planners updated here!
Last item of note for the fall— we are taking a TWO WEEK BREAK October 13-26th for maintenance…. of both the facilities and the faculties :)
After that, we’ll be hitting winter, and we will share those plans with you as soon as we can figure it out ourselves. Winter in Maine… Can you remember that? Phew!

Ross Gallagher at Tinder Hearth August 4
Tinder Hearth is excited to host Ross Gallagher on Sunday August 4th, for an evening of music in the barn. Ross is a bassist who grew up in East Blue Hill, ME, and currently lives between Bath, ME and Brooklyn, NY, where he works with a wide variety of musical artists. He will be celebrating the release of his latest record, neon night,: an excursion into an ambient/electronic musical world built around rhythmic bass ostinatos, clouds of processed looping electronic atmospheres, and melody. By turns both subtle and unapologetically noisy, the songs are a collection of luminous constellations, roved between by a band of texturally minded instrumental improvisers. Ross will be joined by longtime collaborators Peter Herman on guitar and RJ Miller on drums.

Concert- Monday July 29th - Madou Sidiki Diabate & Salif Bamakora, Kora Duets
We are extremely excited to announce an evening of Kora duets with Madou Sidiki Diabaté and Salif Bamakora on Monday, July 29th.
The show will take place outdoors with seats if the weather permits, or in the barn if it’s raining. We recommend buying tickets to guarantee entry. On the day of the show we will announce on our website if walk-in tickets are available.
Kora is the ancient 21-string West African harp, traditional instrument of the Mande Djeliya. We are profoundly honored to host these two incredible musicians here in West Brooksville.
Madou Sidiki Diabaté is a 71st generation Kora player from Mali, West Africa. The younger brother of Toumani Diabaté, the world’s first Grammy award winning Kora player, Madou has become one of the world’s greatest living Kora players. Highly respected in Mande society for his profound traditional knowledge and renowned internationally for his dramatic virtuosity, Madou has toured extensively with West Africa’s finest singers, such as Salif Keita, Baaba Maal and Kandia Kouyaté. Musically adventurous, Madou has collaborated with artists such as Damon Albarn, Will Calhoun and Brian Eno, and continues to redefine the role of Kora in the traditional and modern world.
Salif Bamakora, aka Gordon Hellegers, has been playing Kora for over 20 years as a perpetual student of Mande Djeli, or Griots, the hereditary keepers of history and knowledge encoded in music. A primary student of Madou Sidiki Diabaté for over 15 years, Salif is deeply versed in the traditional repertoire, histories and cultural practices of Mande Djeliya and has become a skilled and experienced performer in concerts around the world, sharing not only music, but also telling traditional stories and illuminating some of their deeper meanings and significance.
Kora duets between Madou Sidiki Diabaté and Salif Bamakora endeavor to further develop the growing edges of Mande traditional Kora in the modern age. In pairing 71st generation Kora virtuoso Diabaté with long-time student and collaborator Bamakora, the two explore the endless possibilities of interpretation with original arrangements of the traditional songs of Djeliya. Combined with storytelling of the knowledge and history carried within the music, audiences receive an immersion in the sounds, stories and ancient vitality of the Kora with a deeply relevant message to the global audiences of the present day.

Starting this week, the morning cafe will be open Wednesday THROUGH Saturday, with some small (exciting!) menu changes and all the usual bread and pastry. Pizza nights will be Tuesday-Friday. Tonight’s Concert Update
Hello all—
We’ve got an update on the Darol Anger & Joe K Walsh show!
We're very excited to share that the weather forecast is looking positive for a break in the rain this evening. So we are planning to hold the show tonight OUTSIDE. Please dress appropriately-- I recommend a raincoat/umbrella, a warm layer or two, and maybe some bug spray if the wind doesn't pick up?
This means that all tier 2 fairweather-only ticket holders are welcome to come!
Also—we will be able to sell more tickets at the door, if you have not yet purchased a tickets. Online preorder for tickets is now closed.
We will be making pizza from 5PM-6:45PM. No reservations are needed for pizza, just come and order when you arrive! Seating for your meal can be outside at tables or in the barn. Our barn will also be open with beer, wine, and non-alcoholic selections available.
We cannot allow BYOB or dogs, my apologies!
Music starts at 7PM.
