Katherine Perkins at Tinder Hearth Sunday July 20th
Tinder Hearth is thrilled to welcome Katherine Perkins and her band on July 20th.
Katherine Perkins is a painter and songwriter from the coast of Maine. Her songs land somewhere on the fringes of Americana, inflected with deep grooves, rich melodies and lush arrangements–– and an occasional glimmer of sardonic wit. In Downeast Magazine, Victoria Wasylak called her latest record, Being Younger, "a trove of genre-defying ballads about friendship, devotion, and the passage of time." The Autumn Roses called it "ageless and warmhearted." As the leader of the Brooklyn-based band Rose Hips & Ships, Perkins released The Seafarer, in 2013, and The Colors Now, in 2020. Being Younger was released on Twelve | Eight Records in June, 2024.
She'll be joined at Tinder Hearth by Ryan Blotnick on guitar, Danny Fisher-Lochhead on sax, Jonathan Henderson on bass, Rebecca Lasaponaro on drums and special guest Tim Semler on guitar, background vocals and all-around magic.

Concert April 19th - Shantala Subramanyam
Tinder Hearth is thrilled to announce Singing Bamboo Trio — an evening of Carnatic music with Shantala Subramanyam—flute/vocals, L. Subramaniam—Mridangam /Kunnakol, and Madhu Vadlamani—violin on Saturday, April 19th. The show will take in the Tinder Hearth barn, with dinner available before the show.

This special concert promises to be a mesmerizing experience, showcasing the rich traditions of Indian classical music through the sounds of the bamboo flute.
Shantala Subramanyam, hailing from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, has emerged as one of the leading flautists in the Carnatic music scene. Her profound musicality, technical brilliance, and deep emotional expressiveness breathe life into each raga she performs, inviting listeners into a world of divine melody and intricate rhythms.

The concert will take you through flights of ecstasy, meditative passages and excitement with Flute, violin, vocals, Mridangam and kunnakol, vocal percussion.
Doors open at 4:30PM with soup, bread and drinks available for purchase.
Music starts at 6:30 PM.
Children 13 and under get in free.
Music will be inside, with seating.
Tickets are $25, and advanced purchase is strongly recommended.

YES WE ARE BACK!!!
You guys, so many things have happened since February 15th, what the heck. We miss you so much. We are so so so excited to be making food for you to come and enjoy in the barn again!! The menus are below. Our schedule is back to the regular "winter" hours THIS WEEK!! Springtime, here we come!!!!

There have been MANY things afoot around Tinder Hearth— we've had a wonderful tiny crew in the bakery slaying with the bread and pastry production for March, Tim has done a major electrical overhaul of the barn (including outside lights!) and many of our staff traveled, bringing back some good vibes and fresh inspiration from far off places. I am SO SO SO grateful to be re-collecting together again at the hearth, in this weird inbetweeny time of early spring, with all the mud and slush and sap flowing. How you noticed? The turkeys are all fluffed up with attitude, robins are getting those worms, and the goose congregations are growing. Together there is hope, and I hope we can feed yours too. We love you. GET OVER HERE!

FRIGG returns to Tinder Hearth - March 10th
Here at Tinder Hearth we are extremely pleased to be welcoming back FRIGG, to perform in the barn on Monday, March 10th. It is a serious honor to be able to host this incredible group of musicians again, and we hope that you all can come join us for an evening of incredible music.

Bagaduce Music presents FRIGG at Tinder Hearth, in Brooksville, Maine
Join us on Monday, March 10, at Tinder Hearth barn in Brooksville. Enjoy “hot fiddles from cool Scandinavia”, as well as the goodies our friends in the Tinder Hearth kitchen have to offer.
Barn doors will open at 4:30pm, where drinks, soup and bread will be available for purchase. The concert will begin at 6pm.
Frigg is a Finnish septet of four Fiddles, folk strings, and contrabass, who have been playing a western influenced Nordic folk music for 20 years, and have earned a global reputation of being “ingenious” and “massively energetic.” The group’s marriage of bluegrass stylings and Nordic tradition has been coined “Nordgrass.” They boast seven North American tours; festivals including Celtic Connections, WOMADelaide, Rainforest World Music Festival and Cambridge Folk Festivals, and they’ve also appeared on Prairie Home Companion, El Mundo, and have released nine albums, winning folk record of the year in 2012 in Finland.

Seating is first come first serve and are limited to 80 tickets. The concert is expected to sell out so get your tickets right away. Consider additionally helping Bagaduce Music with their mission by being a Keeper of The Arts- a limited number of front row tickets are reserved for a budget supporting price. Tickets will be sold at the door, only if available.
